Brothers All Over the World-A Memorial Remembrance

1 Peter 4:12-14; 5:6-11

This past Monday we celebrated Memorial Day we will today honor those who gave their lives in service to both King Jesus and our country.

Our scripture reminds us:

Do not be surprised…trial is a part of life.

In participating in these sufferings…we ensure something greater for this country or His Kingdom.

To serve God or Country…requires humility

Resist and stand firm…because you know that your brothers and sisters throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings and you are not alone.

We need days and symbols to help us to remember because unfortunately if this cost hasn’t effected you directly then it may seem easier to forget the cost.

Are we willing to suffer or even die because we know that there are others who do not have our same freedom either in governance or Christ.

The freedom we have in Christ or Country is never free, it comes with a price and a responsibility that those of us who remain should live for the very things these brave men and women died to ensure.  We will not forget if we dedicate ourselves to live for what they so willing gave their lives, and in that we honor them by honoring the things they sacrificed for.
